Our first priority at this school is to ensure everyone within our school community is safe.

If you ever have a concern about the safety and/or the wellbeing of a child or anyone involved in our school community then please do approach Mr Custance who is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at Floreat Wandsworth.

You can also ask for Mrs Vaughan, Mrs Fry or Mrs Davies who are the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (see the ohotos below)

What do we do to keep children safe? 

  • Robust monitoring of any children at risk with regular input an dupdates from external support e.g. CAHMS or the local authority
  • Weekly brieifngs for leaders to discuss and address any ongoing issues
  • Clear systems of reporting, recording and addressing any issues
  • High quality training for all staff including regular discussions about 'Hot Topics' and local issues
  •  An experienced safeguarding team who know the local area and are quick to address issues on an individual, group or localised level
  • A supportive GLF Schools Safgeuaridng Team and a local authority team (Wandsworth) who are quick to advise and support when required 
  • A range of protective measures in school e.g. safegaurding assemblies, bespoke support for older pupils and a safe and secure envionment for everyone
  • A culture of 'it could happen here' to ensure that staff are ready to protect pupils when required
  • A clear and consistent message to all pupils about who they can talk to if they are worried about something 
  • ELSA and well being support for pupils as required which is provided by an experienced and nurturing inclusion team
